Another S. Platte slab. A fun route that goes up the center of the dome. It begins to the left of the big boulders that you come upon. 2 pitches:

P1 .10a, only one or 2 moves with the crux at the begining then eases up, 7 bolts.

P2 .8, 4 bolts.

Bolted anchors at both stations. To get down rap the route.

P1. 5.9, the crux is at the begining. There are 5 bolts to the anchor.

P2. 5.7, there are 3 bolts to the anchor.

To get down, rap the route.

There is no crux, it's a slab with minimal to no hands.  It's quite low angle and excellent practice for slab climbing without the temptation to lead it and cheese grate yourself.

Two pitch slab climb with a long easy run out on the first pitch.  This climb is located on the South Face.  Scramble to a deep chasm, step across to a small ledge and start below the first bolt.

P1 - Climb the fun bulging start to the second bolt and stay calm as you run out the last 40-50 feet of the first pitch to the anchor.

P2 - Step out right and follow the bolt line to the top.

This route is on the far left side of Jackson Creek Dome.  Theres a good bolt anchor at the top that can be easily reached by hiking up the right side of the slab.  To start follow the [two] bolts on the left side of the slab. The crux comes about 10 feet past the second bolt.  The further left you go the harder it will be.

This slab climb is located on the New Age Slab near the South Face of Jackson Creek Dome.  Follow the bolt line directly above the belay location.

Continuing up and around a corner from

Alien Elite

will bring you to Energy Vortex.  Energy Vortex is located just left of the large, slashing crack that marks Living In Sin and the start of the South Face.  Energy Vortex climbs the dome in 2 pitches:

P1 - Begin in a easy 5.7 crack and climb to the first set of anchors.  The anchors are a little offset from the natural line or the route and are awkward to get to, not much room at the belay stance either.

P2 - The route's crux is the opening thin friction moves just above the anchors.  Once past this short section, it's a cruise up sparcely protected but easy terrain to the summit.

This friction climb is located on the New Age Slab near the South Face of Jackson Creek Dome.  Traverse out to the far right and follow the line of bolts over a bulge (crux) to the anchors.

This is a low angle slab, and it is done on top rope.

This slab climb is located on the New Age Slab near the South Face of Jackson Creek Dome.  The best climb on this slab.  Traverse out to the right and follow the first line of bolts to the anchors. 100'.

This poorly protected slab climb is located on the New Age Slab near the South Face of Jackson Creek Dome.  Carefully moved out left from start and follow the two bolts to the anchors. 100'.

This route goes up the moderately angled face just to the left of

Cold Frize

and climbs directly over the roof.  The crux is where the slab gets steep right at the bolt below the roof. Some weird off balance friction moves that seemed a little tough for 10a.  Pulling the roof requires a fun little two finger undercling, with a long reach to a jug above the roof.  The rest of the route is a strung out cake walk to the anchors.

Time Out

on the long face right of center. This was the 2nd route here. Ground up, 7 hand-drilled bolts. Alan immediately bought a rotary hammer and went back to beef up the anchors and added some bolts (to take out a long jog right/cam placement) which straightened out the route and reduced the run-outs. Fun!

Cold Frize

.  The initial moves past the first couple of bolts are pretty easy.  The crux is at the small headwall that is visible from the start of the route.  Thin holds and ballancy footwork are required to pull up and over.  Once past the crux, continue past two more bolts to the anchors.

Cold Frize is one of the first climbs you encounter at the top of the trail from Jackson Creek and the parking area.  It is located in a dihedral on the left side of a large wall with an obvious bulge about 2/3 of the way up.  The climb starts up a good crack which leads to the bulge.  The climbing becomes more tenuous towards the top of the crack.  At the bulge, protect with a couple bomber cam placements and then pull around it to the right (crux).  Once past this, there are a couple of good bolts enroute to the anchors.  Enjoyable climb.

Per Stewart Green's Rock Climbing Colorado, "clip the first few bolts of Mythical Kings and Iguanas before striking out right and climbing a slab and an overlap."  Climb straight up easy ground directly left of gully past 2 bolts.  Then angle right to steeper slab and a bolt before an overlap. Pull through overlap (crux) to another bolt and then through a headwall with another bolt above.  Continue up easier slab terrain to anchors.  The spacing of upper bolts is a bit spicy.
