The crux is the first fifteen feet.  It then eases up for about sixty feet of fun climbing.

Climb the arete to the R side of the obvious black water runnel.  You can either stay on the arete (straight up the bolt line) or stem up the corner  by climbing L of the bolts (much easier) or some combination of both.  The crux is pulling the roof at the top; it's a little awkward with the holds being less positive than you would like.  Mantle out and trot up the remaining slab to the chains.  One of the longest routes on the wall.  Rock on the arete is still a little loose.  My belayer drilled me with a nice cobble so watch yourself.

is this 4-bolter

the 2nd climb you see from the right on this wall.

Very short and slightly overhanging route.  Scurry up a small dike, clip the 2 bolts, pull over to the low-angled face above and throw your rope in the open-topped hook to lower off.

Just left of the

Road Kill Wall's

small separating groove/gully is this short, featured route. A very well protected line with great clipping stances. A great first lead for someone new to climbing.

Canned Beaver is all about getting past the first three bolts and then enjoying a nice leisurely swim up to the anchors. Jason has extended this route and instead of only three bolts, it now climbs to the top of the formation as well as the two routes that flank both its left and right sides.

If climbing 5.7, is near your limit then stick clip the first bolt, as getting to it is the crux. Small finger pockets and cobbles are the name of the game here.

If climbing 5.7 is beyond your limit, then climb Porcupine Mush to the left and lean over and set up a toprope.

If climbing 5.7 is simple, then warm-up on this one and then hop on Armadillo Waffles to the right as it's one of Maple's harder 5.8's.

Canned Beaver is the fourth route from the left at the Road Kill Wall.

The book describes this climb as "built to last," and it sure will!  A closely-spaced bolt pattern with good climbing and a summit view reward the climber, beginner or intermediate, with enough entertaining moves (mostly at the bottom).  If it wasn't for the middle section with a little moss, it would be 4 stars.
