A great warm-up and introduction to climbing at the Bong. Beginning up a lower angle face with minimal crimps and edges, long reaches and careful feet will get you to the steeper face. From here there are fun moves up a vertical face with decent holds until the crux traverse past the last bolt.

A hard lieback sequence past a bolt gains a widening crack (5.9) and anchors. This seldom done test piece is the hardest of the bunch here and one of the harder lines in the entire Pinnacles.

Originally an aid climb that was later freed, this was the first route on the formation.

Beginning with tricky moves up and past the first few bolts at a lower angle. The route then steepens significantly and powerful and continuous moves reach the anchors. A truly great climb.

Start off a block to a ledge, traverse left an up an overhanging section then to a vertical section to the anchors. Crux is passing the first two bolts.

A slightly harder and more exciting climb than its neighbor. A high and somewhat tricky first bolt leads to deceptively strenuous moves up a steep face. A very enjoyable route. Originally done with just 4 bolts, it has since been rebolted with 5 but still retains its thrilling nature.

Climb up and past crimpers(crux), up steep jugs and slopers to the anchors.

Fun, long, climb that shares the first three bolts with

Crimson Tide

before traversing right for seven more bolts. The crux I found to be at the very start with a super bouldery start on a flake over a slopey ledge. After this it’s fun, exposed, climbing with a view on plates and jugs to a two bolt anchor with chains.

The hardest face and perhaps best climb at the Bong. 11- moves through the first few bolts before launching into technical and provoking holds through the vertical to overhanging wall to the anchors. A must do if visiting the Bong.

Described as a testament to the boldness at the time, this was the first face climb done on the Bong with only 2 bolts placed for the FA. Additional bolts have since been placed.
